Refreshing to see oppressed people fighting for freedom!

True. Do you suppose the great American “deep state” would allow us to start a “Go Fund Me” account for them, to buy them real weapons?

Naw, I didn’t suppose so. After all, Red China is righteously Socialist, while Hong Kong is ravenously Capitalist. That’s also why this news will be buried in the Democrat’s news media, or at least, slanted against the Hong Kong “terrorists”.

Now, they probably WOULD allow us to start that fund to send cigarettes and sweets to those poor PLA soldiers tasked with violently repressing a free people.

If / when the chi-comms take over Hong Kong, we will see just how quickly the wealth of the region turns right into poverty. It will be Venezuela on steroids…………………(smells like fish, tastes like chicken)

This will be us soon… Both political parties are working toward that right now..

Call me a silly optimist, but I don’t think we’re going to get there, as dark as it looks. Just today a friend of mine, who is one of the great all-time cynics, told me he thinks we’re at some sort of crisis point, and that things are about to turn for the better. I’ve been having a similar feeling from time to time, although I also have moments of relapse back to cynicism.

Whatever, it’s better than the dark despair I used to feel in the days just before Trump announced his candidacy. I thought we were facing a JEB!-Hillary match-up and I was seriously thinking about taking up alcoholism as a lifestyle.

Reading the Old Testament in a critically, scholarly fashion, concerning the sages of the Deuteronomist School, has taught me one thing. No matter how bad things get it will only get very much worse. Read the prophets of Israel. All we can do is desperately hold on to that bottom rung and believe in a divine salvation. It must be done with the greatest courage. Surrender is not an option.

This is EXACTLY what Friedrich Hayek was saying would come in the “The Road to Serfdom.” Central planning ALWAYs leads to Totalitarianism. The rights of the individual crushed under the might of the state and those who seek to control.

It is not ‘the guards’ you need to beat… it is the Chinese Communist Government in Beijing who sent the Riot squad.

I feel bad for the poor SOB with the suitcase on wheels just trying to get the hell out. I guess when the colony was handed over we knew that this would happen eventually.

Number of times NBC NEWS – during HK riot coverage, used the word “Communist” in relation to the Chinese Government = 0.

Seriously: I live in HK. Of course my heart is with the protesters. But enough is enough.

I am a foreigner, I have an option of a place to live other than Hong Kong – unlike the single passport locals staring down the barrel of full scale communist rule by 2047 – and I don’t pretend to have anything beyond superficial understanding of the conflict, BUT

I don’t think the protesters have concrete aims of what they want to achieve right now, and anger and emotion are obvious drivers currently. Basically, the government rounded thugs on the protesters, and has unleashed a propaganda war, and the locals (especially the young) are going ballistic.

They got what they initially wanted , which was to stop the extradition law. Now they are saying to withdraw it, but there is precedent for laws to go dormant when not withdrawn and the HK leader gave her word on it.

They are pushing for her to resign – and, honestly, she damned well should – but the reality is that another Beijing puppet will inevitably take her place. All the Hong Kong Legco Heads are puppets, have been basically since ‘97. Also: BJ won’t let her resign because they would lose face. The protesters know that.

Selfishly, business is suffering and the situation is scary. Is it worth destroying the HK economy at the moment? There is no “winning” with these protesters at the moment. It’s just a battle, not the war.

But what do I know.

I can’t help thinking how much of this has been enabled by the US government, the corporations and their deal with the devil. And for what? For a little bit of money:

@verily

see how so many complain about .gov corruption and CW2 coming

then you point out how US and COC
interests with global communists have contributed to this situation you get down votes

simple question
WHY is China willing to “”loose face”” internationally to defeat people with such force

they cant rule HK while allowing them the people to live as they were under british rule

WHY is such brutality necessary?

(also stay alert for ROLCON’s)

Verily

big jim, I saw those down votes and got a bit of a kick out of it. I mean, who on earth could downvote that clip from Fargo? It’s a classic. Unless they think I’m being rude and using up Kane’s bandwidth. In which case they’d be justified. Kane, am I using up too much bandwidth here? If so, I’ll keep it down to a low roar. Sometimes I do get a tad carried away.

As to China, I get the impression that the TPTB feel they’d lose more face if they compromised with the protesters, rather than beating the peewadden out of them.

forgive my ignorance, but what on earth is a ROLCON?

big jim, thanks for clearing that up. That piece written by sundance is so spot on, right to the heart of the matter. I know there was a lot of heavy breathing about Margaret Thatcher around here recently, but she really fuct this up “royally”. Cedes Hong Kong back to China as planned, but puts that 50 year poison pill in the agreement. As if China keeps any of its agreements if it doesn’t suit them.

It would have been more merciful had Hong Kong been ceded back to China with no caveats. By now, people would have accepted it and adjusted and this wouldn’t be happening. Like I said, this is on England. And there’s nothing more that England likes to do than involve the US in their mess. Since at least WW2 and probably going back further. I always think of those of those group photos of Churchill, Roosevelt and Stalin at Yalta, like they were some sort of Holy Trinity. If anyone wants to know why the US and the Soviet Union/Russia have been at odds for so long, they can close their eyes and think of England. England’s been going back and forth between the US and Russia for decades, seeming to act as a friend to each, but promoting conflict.

And that is why we’ve had the Trump/Russia hoax.

@Verily

your very close, thats why i communicate with you.

the 50 year time frame allowed for;
-exfiltration of wealth from America to China / South East Asia with NAFTA
-Also Euro had to continue to navigate currency and wealth transfer of EURO ZONE
and African and South American Unions were formed under radar

its all been about the planned $ FED collapse
2008 was a practice run on how world economy and markets would react to said collapse
(and making obscene profits off the practice)
((Asian and Middle Eastern interests wanted and were promised a “”seat”” at the G7 table to become G12? ))

[ the con went horribly wrong because ME & Asia saw it coming and the “”practice”” was a top end wound licking mess ]

its all been about selling bullets and bandaids to both sides and leaving impovrished PEOLPLE shackled to failed gov debts

see Greece pension failures resjlting in selling NATIONAL PORTS that paid dividends to Retirees that were sold to PRIVATE interests to balance EU “”ledger””

Globs and alphabets one in the same; had the big one allll planned out

But; . . .

i have the end if your interested.

big jim, yes, by all means, would love to hear the end. I hate to be left hanging! 😀

God bless the HK civilians. May God give them the strength to come out on top. China must be destroyed.

Verily
Verily

China was already destroyed, by Mao and his Cultural Revolution. What’s left is this basket case of a nation that calls itself China, but is, in fact still Red China.

And if people don’t think that a Cultural Revolution of sorts isn’t well underway here in the US, then they’re whistling past the graveyard. Today’s “background check” hearings are just one proof of many.

Trump hit the pause button on our own Cultural Revolution, and I hope he can hit re-wind as well. I just get a little uncomfortable when he starts blithering about “white supremacy” and other assorted stuff.

How about a go fund me to move the entire population to Porto Rico , they could use some serious capitalism, and it’s not like it’s being used anyway.

Another made for TV movie.
What’s happening at home? Fredo got your attention? Barr ‘going off” the rails? Trump bringing water to the Valley? Red Flag gun laws approved? Illegals at the border? Biden dribbling on himself?
Focus here ! This is all a distraction.

Verily
Verily

I can assure you, to the folks in Hong Kong, this is way more than a distraction, and a lesson for us right here.

Of course, I see the limey “journalists” are present and accounted for. This is another one of England’s sh*tty little planetary partition deals gone wrong. Funny how they seem to be going wrong all at once, too, in the Middle East, in India and Pakistan. So far, though, Ireland doesn’t seem to have gotten into the game, yet. The “Troubles” look to be on simmer at the moment.

Down with the Crown!

….if the sheeple only knew what the crown has done. All coming out soon.

Indeed. I laugh myself silly when I hear or read all these dark warnings about “Mossad” and “Israel”. As if.
They’re just caught in the same trap as the US.

Always the loyal and obedient deep state media desperately trying to steer the conversation. “This is no longer a peaceful demonstration”, “Most people don’t want to see this”. F-off commies. These people are fighting for their futures. Freedom vs Slavery. Literally.

Verily
Verily

Testify! I think what fills them with fear the most is the destruction of Hong Kong as a stable global hub of finance, commerce and travel. Might not have a good effect on the bottom line of many an international corporation. It might even affect their bonuses and pensions.
