MedBikini is trending as doctors and nurses are posting bikini pics to protest sexist study
The hashtag MedBikini started circulating on Twitter and Instagram after a controversial study was published in the Journal of Vascular Surgery. The research said photos where doctors are wearing ‘inappropriate or offensive attire’ or drinking alcohol are considered ‘unprofessional’ and could impact whether patients choose them as doctors.
In response, doctors are posting selfies posing in bikinis with beers. I would probably go to the doctor more often if she were sexy, dressed in inappropriate attire and served me a beer.

#MedBikini what I wear on my day off or under my scrubs doesn’t change my ability to do my job. I’m a person first. I’m a wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend who just happens to be a Dr. pic.twitter.com/SdqFJ6f53q

#medbikini What can I say, I’m unprofessional 👙 (Also what a waste of research/resources only to perpetuate misogyny, our ideas of professionalism are deeply tied to racism, misogyny, homophobia, etc.) pic.twitter.com/2FZlNK54RW
