Shopped at Walmart in the Last 6 Years? You Could Be Able to Claim $500 in Settlement Cash
I had an interesting interaction not long ago when I went for a haircut. Over the past ten years or so I’ve gotten my haircuts at a local barbershop which was much as depicted in the movie by the same name. But the two guys who’ve cut my hair have both died and now the place is closed. And so, on the other side of the James River, I tried a place simply because there was a ‘walk ins welcome’ sign in the window.
The young woman who took me was concerned when I turned down her offer for ‘styling’ and asked when my last hair cut had been. She had a noticeable accent and so when I told her when my last hair cut had been I also told her it had been at a barbershop in Nicaragua. She actually cocked her head sideways when she asked if I knew Nicaragua. I said ‘Yes, in a way…I have property there.’
And she replied that she was from El Salvador. I expressed admiration for Nayib Bukele and what he had done there and off she went: she and her family had moved to the US about 15 years ago; she married a local guy (local to my part of Virginia); and they had a 9 year old son.
She went on to say that neither her husband nor her son had visited El Salvador…nor had she nor any of her remaining family since arriving in America. But she, her husband, her son, and her widowed mother all visited in December. Her husband and son loved the place and the family of three is planning another visit.
Mom didn’t bother to come back to the US.

NYPD swarms Columbia, arrests anti-Israel protesters after president finally tells cops to clear campus:
NYPD cops in riot gear swarmed Columbia University on Thursday afternoon and began arresting dozens of anti-Israel protesters after the president made the bombshell decision to clear the campus.
Minouche Shafik wrote in an email to students, faculty and staff that she made the call despite her hopes that the move would “never be necessary.”
Shortly after 1 p.m., hordes of cops in body armor and face shields descended on the Morningside Heights campus and surrounded the encampment, which had been set up since early Wednesday.
The first wave of cops who stormed campus was soon joined by even more officers with bags of zip ties in hand to detain the protesters.

The Polish President Revealed That Foreign Companies Own Most Of Ukraine’s Industrial Agriculture
Andrzej Duda represents what’s widely considered to be one of the most pro-American and anti-Russian governments at any time in history so he can’t credibly be accused of “pushing Kremlin propaganda” on this scandalous subject.
The Oakland Institute published a detailed report in February 2023 titled “War and Theft: The Takeover of Ukraine’s Agricultural Land”, which exposed how foreign firms have clandestinely taken control of a significant share of Ukrainian farmland by exploiting a liberal law in collusion with local oligarchs. Their findings made waves around at the time but eventually receded from the public’s attention over half a year later once Western outlets like the USA Today misleadingly “fact-checked” it.
They took advantage of social media users conflating indirect ownership through stakes with direct control to discredit the institution’s report, after which it largely faded from the general discourse. Few could have expected that it would be none other than Polish President Andrzej Duda who just breathed new life into it during his interview with Lithuanian National Radio and Television. He was explaining Poland’s problem with Ukrainian agricultural imports when he dropped the following bombshell:
“I would like to draw particular attention to industrial agriculture, which is not really run by Ukrainians, it is run by big companies from Western Europe, from the USA. If we look today at the owners of most of the land, they are not Ukrainian companies. This is a paradoxical situation, and no wonder that farmers are defending themselves, because they have invested in their farms in Poland […] and cheap agricultural produce coming from Ukraine is dramatically destructive to them.”
Duda represents what’s widely considered to be one of the most pro-American and anti-Russian governments at any time in history so he can’t credibly be accused of “pushing Kremlin propaganda”. He therefore wouldn’t have confirmed the dramatic claim of majority-foreign ownership of Ukraine’s industrial agriculture, albeit indirectly through stakes in national companies that exploit a liberal law in collusion with local oligarchs, if he didn’t have the facts provided to him by Polish experts to back it up.
This development should prompt a resurgence of interest in prior reports on this subject such as USAID’s about how “Private Sector on the Frontlines of Land Reform to Unlock Ukraine’s Investment Potential”. Thomas Fazi’s detailed report for UnHeard back in July 2023 about how “The capitalists are circling over Ukraine: The war is creating massive profit opportunities” is also insightful. Most relevant, however, is what Zelensky told the World Economic Forum in Davos in May 2022. In his words:
“We offer a special – historically significant – model of reconstruction. When each of the partner countries or partner cities or partner companies will have the opportunity – historical one – to take patronage over a particular region of Ukraine, city, community or industry. Britain, Denmark, the European Union and other leading international actors have already chosen a specific direction for patronage in reconstruction.”
One year later, he hosted BlackRock’s management in Kiev, during which time they discussed the creation of an investment and reconstruction fund. According to Zelensky, “Today is a historic moment because, since the very first days of independence, we have not had such huge investment cases in Ukraine. We are proud that we can initiate such a process…We will be able to offer interesting projects to invest in energy, security, agriculture, logistics, infrastructure, medicine, IT, and many other areas.”
Puttin the pieces together, the Ukrainian leader made good on his May 2022 Davos proposal by offering companies “patronage” over Ukraine’s industrial agriculture, which was already in the process of unfolding prior to then but was greatly accelerated by last May’s meeting with BlackRock’s management. This took the tangible form of these indirectly foreign-controlled farms outcompeting Poland’s by far, thus leading to the Polish farmers’ protests across the country and the latest troubles in bilateral ties.
The sequence of events detailed thus far places into context mid-February’s report about the G7’s alleged plans to appoint an envoy to Ukraine, who’d obviously be tasked with implementing the Davos agenda if this comes to pass, particularly entrenching foreign control over Ukrainian farmland. It also suggests that Ukraine’s informal focus on ramping up agricultural exports to the EU isn’t just opportunistic, but partially driven by these foreign firms’ preference for speedy and reliable profits.
Ukraine had hitherto been an agricultural powerhouse in the Global South but ceded its market share to Russia on the false pretext that Moscow was blockading the Black Sea, which in turn prompted the EU to temporarily eliminate prior trade barriers for the official purpose of facilitating exports via its territory. In reality, Russia never blockaded the Black Sea, and almost all of the Ukrainian grain that entered the EU remained there instead of traveling through the bloc en route to Kiev’s traditional Global South markets.
It’s much quicker for Ukraine to sell its agricultural products in the neighboring EU than to wait however long it takes to export them to Africa, not to mention more reliable as well since it’s unimaginable that these developed economies would ever have the same possible payment problems as developing ones. These self-evident calculations work against Poland’s interests, ergo how much of a struggle it’ll be for that country to defend its domestic market from this influx considering the powerful forces at play.
It’s not just the Ukrainian agricultural lobby that wants tariff-free access for these products into the EU market, but also the lobbies of those foreign firms that indirectly control its industrial agriculture. The latter will likely fight tooth and nail to prevent any compromise being reached on Ukraine’s hoped-for EU membership whereby that former Soviet Republic’s agricultural sector would be excluded from any deal. Poland therefore has every reason to continue drawing global attention to these shadowy relationships.
It’s only by raising maximum awareness of the fact that “most of the land” within Ukraine’s industrial agriculture sector “is run by big companies from Western Europe, from the USA” that Poland stands any chance of the aforesaid compromise entering into force. That’ll make the country some very powerful enemies who could then meddle in Polish domestic affairs out of vengeance, but Duda’s latest interview suggests that he’s prepared to face their wrath in order to protect Poland’s objective national interests.
Kane – is it possible to fully express thanks, appreciation, and gratitude for your heart, courage, energy, and dedication. Amazing platform dedicated to truth and wisdom. Thank you. We are always in prayer for you.

Bryan Kohberger’s lawyers offer new alibi for accused murder’s whereabouts on night of killings:
Bryan Kohberger’s lawyers claimed in a new alibi filing that cellphone data will show the accused killer was miles away from Moscow, Idaho the night four college students were slain in an off-campus house in the city.
“Mr. Kohberger was out driving in the early morning hours of Nov. 13, 2022; as he often did to hike and run and/or see the moon and stars,” the court documents, submitted late Wednesday, read. “He drove throughout the area south of Pullman, Washington, west of Moscow, Idaho including Wawawai Park.”
Pullman is about 10 miles west of Moscow and Wawawai Park is a roughly 40-minute drive from the murder scene.
Kohberger is accused of fatally stabbing University of Idaho students Ethan Chapin, Xana Kernodle, Kaylee Goncalves and Madison Mogen in the early hours of Nov 13, 2022, inside a rental house near the Moscow campus.
Ex-CBS honcho Les Moonves fined $15K for illegally obtaining confidential info on LAPD sex assault investigation:
Les Moonves agreed to pay a $15,000 fine to the City of Los Angeles for illegally obtaining confidential information about an LAPD investigation into sexual assault allegations that were leveled against CBS’ former top executive.
Moonves, who ran the Tiffany Network for 15 years before he resigned in disgrace in September 2018, was forced to pay the maximum penalty issued by the LA City Ethics Commission, which voted 4-0 to approve the fine.
The vote came two months after the commission rejected Moonves’ request to get off with an $11,5230 fine, arguing at the time that the sum did not match the egregious nature of the violation, Variety earlier reported.
The fine paid Wednesday settles allegations that were initially made in November 2017 — at the height of the #MeToo movement — by former TV executive Phyllis Golden-Gottlieb, who walked into the Hollywood LAPD station to report that Moonves had assaulted her in the 1980s.
Former teachers at NC high school unsurprised by student slapping teacher: ‘I did see it coming’:

An unidentified minor was charged Tuesday over the attack in which a teacher was slapped multiple times and cursed out in front of the class, with other pupils laughing.
Kayleigh Connell told WFMY that it was a painful reminder of an attack she suffered at another local school, Triad elementary, the final straw forcing her to switch career paths after 11 years as a teacher. “I ended up in urgent care with a concussion because a student got upset and lashed out,” Connell said. “At the worst point for me. From The NY Post Editorial Board:
Katie Couric’s slam on MAGA voters lifts the veil on Dem groupthink:
Katie Couric is channeling her inner Hillary Clinton.
While guesting on Bill Maher’s “Club Random” podcast, journalist Couric said support for former President Donald Trump was driven by “anti-intellectualism,” then went on to imply MAGA voters were “jealous” and “resentful.” Hasn’t the left has learned anything since Hillary’s similar comments bombed spectacularly eight years ago?
During the 2016 presidential race, then-candidate Clinton called “half” of Trump’s supporters “racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic” and sought to dump them into her “basket of deplorables.” Americans responded at the polls.
Indeed, it was precisely this kind of arrogant, “we’re-smart, you’re-dumb” elitism that helped get Trump elected.
The media and establishment Dems plainly think of themselves as the erudite “adults in the room,” while Republicans are backward, hateful, uneducated rednecks.
Have they looked at the polls lately?

Headline and question:Shopper sparks outrage after ‘paying $7 for a single apple:’ ‘What economy are we all f–king living in?’

The woman, who goes by the username @via..li, posted a video about her pricey purchase to her page, which has since been re-shared on various social media platforms.
The clip has now been deleted from the shopper’s own account, but it showed her pulling out the apple from a bag after departing an unidentified Whole Foods store.
“Literally just did grocery shopping at Whole Foods and look at this,” she raged. “Guess how much this is. This is an apple, it’s called a Sugarbee f–king apple apparently and look at it.”

During proceedings in the Senate yesterday re. Mayorkas, Chuck Schumer noted that he offered the GOP some time-limited debate in the Senate before voting on the merits of each impeachment charge. Schumer said the GOP objected to his offer. Turns out that Eric Schmitt (Missouri) reportedly objected to the time-limited debate offer and the GOP got NO FORMAL DEBATE on the floor. Let that be a lesson to the GOP that Democrats play absolute hardball. Pathetic.
excerpt:
“Before Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer set up a vote to kill the first impeachment article against Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, he offered a time agreement to Republicans that would have allowed a certain amount of floor debate and votes on trial resolutions and points of order before an eventual vote to dismiss the case.
Republican Sen. Eric Schmitt objected, saying he would not agree to a proposal that would conclude with an “unprecedented” step in US history: dismissing an impeachment case without a trial.”

They’re finally cracking down on this BS, but that is only because they are being put on notice, with the Capital hearings. Also, as much as I despise Goodge, good for them for s–tcanning those terrorist sympathizers.
The hundreds of students who occupied the South Lawn in front Butler Library sat quietly and did not resist when police arrested them.

Metallica frontman James Hetfield gets tattoo made with late Motorhead star Lemmy’s ashes:
Metallica frontman James Hetfield has revealed a new tattoo in memory of late rocker Lemmy — using some of the Motörhead star’s ashes.
Hetfield, 60, showed off the tattoo — featuring Motörhead famous “Ace of Spades” logo — made with “black ink mixed with a pinch of his cremation ashes that were so graciously given to me.”
Fittingly, it was on the middle finger of his right hand, making it visible while pulling his idol’s favored pose of flipping the bird…
…“Without him, there would be NO Metallica,” he said of the rock pioneer, who was 70 when he died of cancer in 2016.
It was done by prominent tattoo artist Corey Miller, the owner of Six Feet Under in Upland, Calif. Who was featured in the reality show “LA Ink,” Hetflied said.

Group snatches bear cubs out of tree just to take selfies with them in disturbing clip:
An unsettling video shows a group of people carelessly ripping bear cubs out of a tree to snap some selfies in North Carolina.
The group of about six people was caught on video Tuesday pulling three scared black bear cubs out of a tree over a fence at a Buncombe County apartment complex, ABC 13 News reported.
During the video, several of the individuals were seen posing with the cubs, with one person even dropping one while holding it. Another cub was seen frantically running away from the group, trying to get back over the fence.

281. 65 Project, founded by David Brock (#104 on list). Campaign targeting lawyers who aided attempts by then-President Donald Trump and his supporters to overturn the 2020 election results using advertisements, threats of disbarment, and changing rules within the American Bar Association, ostensibly to deter future similar efforts.

284. Eddie Vale: Communications Strategist, 65 Project anti-Trump lawfare firm. Partner at New Paradigm Strategy group and veteran Democrat and progressive political and legislation campaigns.
285. Lawyers Defending American Democracy (LDAD). Leftist advocacy group involved with numerous lawfare suits they brought against Gen. Flynn, Ken Paxton, John Eastman and Rudy Guiliani.
They author letters, statements, and briefs about issues they deems as threats to democracy and press the legal community to act on said perceived threats.
286. Scott Harshbarger: chairman and co-founder, LDAD. Former president of Common Cause, a leftist group that purely opposes Republican politicians, Republican-nominated judges, Republican-backed efforts to ensure the integrity of voter rolls, and generally Republican redistricting efforts.
287. Gershon M. (Gary) Ratner: Co-Founder, LDAD. Social justice law reform lawyer & advocate. Harvard Law puke.
Democrat pressure groups such as The 65 Project and Lawyers Defending Democracy now exist specifically to harass, intimidate, and force potentially tens of thousands of dollars of representation costs on their political opponents for constitutionally protected free speech. This means any Republican attorney general is at high risk of an ethics complaint unless he represents no challenge to Democrat priorities.
288. Katie Couric. Liberal hack who thinks Trumpsters are anti-intellectualists. Spent her career reading a teleprompter or script.

Former teachers at a North Carolina high school where a student slapped his teacher multiple times in a viral, profanity-laced classroom attack say they were not surprised because violence has long run rampant in the school.
“I did see it coming,” Kisha Wall-Freeman told WFMY News 2 of the shocking assault Tuesday in her former place of work, Parkland High School in Winston-Salem “That’s the way things have been progressing for quite some time now.”
I would say 80% of my day, on average, was spent trying to manage behaviors.”

I am so glad they are addressing this smug twunt, Days later, that clip of her, and Bill Maher, is still stomach churning. 🤮🤮🤮
Black and Latino voters are fleeing to Trump, as are young voters — demographics that Democrats used to have locked down tight.
These are not exactly the caricature of MAGA supporters liberals imagine.

Headline and question:Shopper sparks outrage after ‘paying $7 for a single apple:’ ‘What economy are we all f–king living in?’
Answer: Bidenomics, stupid.
A Boston-based influencer has sparked outrage over inflation after claiming she paid $7 for a single apple at a Whole Foods.
“The size of my palm. I thought it was like probably 2 to 3 dollars. I scanned this motherf–ker I scanned it — 7 f–king dollars, 7!”

As much as I’d like that to be a huge ding on FJB, it’s really more of an expose’ about her stupidity.
1. Whole Foods – one of the more expensive grocery stores,
2. Prices for produce are listed next to each item,
3. Scales are always nearby to gage the weight of your selection,
4. She bought it anyway, could have rejected it at the source, could have rejected it at the checkout, but no, she went ahead with a stupid choice.
MK,
I agree with what you wrote, but even at Stop N’ Shop, the prices on most, if not all groceries, are all up. So, as i wrote below, this maybe an exaggerated case, but the truth is, all groceries are far more expensive, now.
Don’t they post prices so you know the cost BEFORE you put food in your bag? Her outrage just seems suspect to me because she scanned it and still bought it.
still2,
She maybe FOS, but the fact remains, everything is far more expensive under this regime.
Not arguing that! Everything is higher.
