JUDICIAL WATCH BREAKING: Warrants To Spy On Trump Obtained Without ANY FISA Court Hearings…

A Justice Department (DOJ) filing in response to a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request reveals that neither the initial warrant, nor any of its three renewals, to spy on Carter Page were subjected to a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) hearing for approval.

 

On Friday, Judicial Watch announced the DOJ’s filing in response to Judicial Watch’s FOIA request regarding the warrants granted to spy on former Trump campaign advisor Carter Page:

“Judicial Watch today announced that in response to a Judicial Watch Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit, the Justice Department (DOJ) admitted in a court filing last night that the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court held no hearings on the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) spy warrant applications targeting Carter Page, a former Trump campaign part-time advisor who was the subject of four controversial FISA warrants.”

 

“In the filing the Justice Department finally revealed that the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court held no hearings on the Page FISA spy warrants, first issued in 2016 and subsequently renewed three times:

 

“[Office of Intelligence] further confirmed that the [Foreign Surveillance Court] considered the Page warrant applications based upon written submissions and did not hold any hearings.”

 

Indeed the DOJ filing posted by Judicial Watch affirms multiple times that no FISA court hearings were held:

“Specifically, FOIA staff consulted with knowledgeable subject matter experts in the Office of Intelligence. Those experts confirmed that, as is typical in proceedings before the FISC, no hearings were held with respect to the acknowledged Carter Page FISA applications, and thus no responsive transcripts exist.”

 

“In light of recent public disclosures about Carter Page, NSD confirms that it has conducted a reasonable search and that no such hearings were held with respect to the acknowledged FISA applications. Accordingly, no responsive hearing transcripts exist, and the partial “no records” response was proper.”

 

“Those supervisors reviewed their records and confirmed that, as is typical in proceedings before the FISC, no hearings were held with respect to the acknowledged Carter Page FISA applications, and thus no responsive transcripts exist.”

      I hate to say it but this probably is not fixable by legal means– and certainly is not fixable by anything that can be done within the civilian part of the government. At this point the choices are military tribunals or civil war.

      As per another report, Page was under FISA surveillance since 2013-2014? If so, would they not have had to renew the warrant every 90 days to enforce? Unless & if? That would mean a minimum of 12 consecutive warrants would have been issued on Carter Page? Where are they?… As it appears there were no Hearings on the FISA applications on Page in 2016? They considered it and issued a warrant upon a written application only, and upon an unverified document backed by an infamous article from Yahoo! The FBI is trying to muddy the water and hide their tracks on this political bull-shitting!

        It is rather odd that a 70+ year old person who has signed their name many times, would have such a different way of signing their name just two days apart. The middle initial “M” is especially strange that it is so different:

            And this 3rd signature is rather scrunched up in the “Rosemary” part, whereas in the other 2 examples the name is written out more clearly.

            I would say the signature in the 99-pager would be the authentic Collyer signature, on such an important legal finding of NSA data base abuses.

            How does Huber stop a target of an investigation from talking to the NYT? Absent a gag order, which would only happen in public judicial proceedings, nothing can stop a target or his lawyer from telling the world that “Trump is persecuting me”. There are no interviews, subpoenas, indictments, or any other sign that Huber is doing anything other than the standard Democrat justice department obstruction shuffle.

            Again, you’ve got nothing to back your claims, other than insults.

            Ignore deep state Josh, and his fellow travelers. We won’t see justice, at Justice, until Sessions is gone, and then it will be YEARS too late. Witnesses and evidence will be worthless, a cold case.

      I sat in at the traffic court to observe the process in the 90’s. One thing is perfectly clear — it was nothing more than a gov operation to scrape money from the citizenry to fund county/city operations.

      Those who had lawyers sitting in traffic court representing them had their traffic charge dismissed when the ticketing officer never showed.

      Those who did not have lawyers were all found guilty and had money penalties assessed after the ticketing officer showed up and the case was heard.

      It’s all a damn game. Massive fraud from start to finish — at every level.
